May 2

Today we started with quiet reading and we changed our book bin books. We had music with Mr. Weins.

We did calendar and we practiced our shapes. We did literacy centers and word work. Our new words

this week are:

Group A: out, or, house, has, old ("old" has a word family)

Group B: upon, once, time, playing, coming, morning ("time" has a word family)

Group C: "ing" words - sing, thing, folding, biking, mailing

Group D: day, with, said, us

After lunch we did mindfulness and we had gym outside. In math we learned about triangular prisms.  We counted how many flat/curved faces, edges and vertices it has, as well as if it can roll or stack.  We cut and glued together a triangular prism for us to bring home to show you. We continued to work on our Creating Colour paintings.  We did a self reflection checklist when we were finished.

Wednesday, May 4th is Hats on for Mental Health Day. Students may wear a hat at school.
