May 13
Yesterday Mrs. Young was away. The substitute teacher said we behaved very well. We started with quiet reading. We did calendar and we had literacy centers. We started a sequencing activity. First we listened to the story of the Three Bears. We sequenced some pictures form the story. We will write about each picture on Monday. After lunch we did mindfulness and we changed our home reading books. We did dance in gym. In math we practiced sorting 3D shapes and in science we sorted living and non-living things.
Today we started with quiet reading and catch up time (math). We did calendar and we practiced our 3D shapes. We had gym outside with Mrs. Sterne. We did literacy centers and we did our word review. Please check your child's backpack to see how they did. We started to grow beans. We put some seeds in a baggie with a wet paper towel and we put them in the window. We will do an observation on them every few days. We learned about the parts of a seed.
