 Yesterday we started by continuing to work on our 100th day activities.  We changed our library books. We had music with Mr. Weins.  We did calendar (Happy March!) and we practiced subtizing.  We started a writing activity.  We wrote sentences starting with "I am" and "I have".  After lunch we did mindfulness and we changed our home reading books.  We practice ball skills in gym.  We had literacy centers.  We had a lockdown practice.  Our class did a fantastic job!  In math we started subtraction using pictures.  We continued to talk about primary and secondary colours in Science.

Today we started with catch up time (science and 100th day activities).  We did calendar and we reviewed our shapes.  We had literacy centers.  We continued with our writing activity from yesterday.  Today we used the sentence starters "I like" and "I can".  After lunch we did mindfulness and we changed our home reading books.  We continued working on our ball skills in gym.  We did Mathletics and RazKids on the iPads.

 Yesterday we started by watching a Alphablocks video.  We did calendar and we practiced drawing shapes.  We counted the sides and vertices of the shapes.  We did literacy centers.  We had indoor recess since it was so cold outside.  We learned about the letter C.  We talked about the 2 sounds it makes and we brainstormed words that begin with C.  We practiced printing it on our whiteboards and in our printing books.  We drew and labelled pictures and some of us wrote sentences with C words in them.  After lunch we finished our C work.  We played floor hockey in gym and we had another indoor recess.  We wrote our numbers as high as we can go (or filled in missing numbers if we can write our numbers correctly to 100).  We did Mathletics and Raz Kids on the iPads. Yesterday we started with quiet reading and we changed our library books (we keep them in our desk).  We had music with Mr. Weins.  We did calendar and we practiced making numbers using ones blocks and tens rods.  We Filled in missing words in our Fall Changes book.   We used our poems to help us spell the words.  We did mindfulness and we practiced our sounds by doing our gumball activity.  In gym we used scooters.  We worked on the number 11.  We got out 11 blocks and we used them to make different number sentences (e.g. 5+6=11).  We practiced printing it and we showed different ways that we can represent 11.  We started talking about our families today.  We shared things we like to do with our family.
