Yesterday we started with catch up time and quiet reading (math, printing, Fall Changes books).  We did calendar and we practiced counting in different ways.  We did Student of the Day.  We learned that   We practiced printing her name and we copied three sentences about her.  Some of us wrote our own sentences.  We did mindfulness and we practiced our sounds.  We did our basic facts test then we did Mathletics and Raz Kids on the iPads.

Today we started with quiet reading and catch up time.  We did calendar.  During calendar we practiced making numbers using our base ten blocks. We practiced counting in different ways.  We made a "Shape Monster" book.  When we were finished we made our own Shape Monsters.  



Parent Teacher Conferences are on Thursday, November 25 from 3:30-7:30pm and on Friday, November 26 from 8:00am to 12:00pm.  You can book at time through your CBE account.  All conferences will take place virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Beddington Heights Elementary Parent Council is happy to announce their first fundraiser of the year, Growing Smiles. They are selling beautiful poinsettias, wreaths, boughs, outdoor greenery and indoor planter.

The Campaign will run from November 5th -19th, 2021.

Pick up will be December 3rd. Details to follow

 Yesterday we started by watching a Alphablocks video.  We did calendar and we practiced drawing shapes.  We counted the sides and vertices of the shapes.  We did literacy centers.  We had indoor recess since it was so cold outside.  We learned about the letter C.  We talked about the 2 sounds it makes and we brainstormed words that begin with C.  We practiced printing it on our whiteboards and in our printing books.  We drew and labelled pictures and some of us wrote sentences with C words in them.  After lunch we finished our C work.  We played floor hockey in gym and we had another indoor recess.  We wrote our numbers as high as we can go (or filled in missing numbers if we can write our numbers correctly to 100).  We did Mathletics and Raz Kids on the iPads. Yesterday we started with quiet reading and we changed our library books (we keep them in our desk).  We had music with Mr. Weins.  We did calendar and we practiced making numbers using ones blocks and tens rods.  We Filled in missing words in our Fall Changes book.   We used our poems to help us spell the words.  We did mindfulness and we practiced our sounds by doing our gumball activity.  In gym we used scooters.  We worked on the number 11.  We got out 11 blocks and we used them to make different number sentences (e.g. 5+6=11).  We practiced printing it and we showed different ways that we can represent 11.  We started talking about our families today.  We shared things we like to do with our family.
