Yesterday we started with catch up time (Fall trees). We changed our book bin books. We had music with Mr. Weins. We had our pictures taken for picture day.We did calendar. We practiced our 5 Little Pumpkins Poem. After recess we did Student of the Day. We learned that Seraphina likes to drink apple juice. We copied 3 sentences about her and we drew a picture of her. We printed her name correctly on the printing road. We learned about Chenie Wenjack. He was an indigenous boy who was sent to a residential school. He wanted to go home so he tried to walk. In gym we showed suppot by continuing his walk. We practiced our letters and sounds. In math we worked on the number 9. We practiced printing it and we showed different ways of representing it. In science we labelled a diagram of the eye.
Today we welcomed a new friend into our class. We started with quiet reading and catch up time. We did calendar and worked on identifying how many sides and vertices different shapes have. We worked on the letter A. We talked about both sounds that it makes. We practiced printing it and we drew and labelled pictures of words that start with A. We learned how to log into Mathletics or Raz-Kids on the iPads. We are bringing our login cards home so we can do them at home too. Both programs are paid for by our Parent Council!
