Yesterday we started by making a colour book called "The Colours of Fall".  We coloured the pictures to match the words.  We practiced reading our book.  We had music with Mr. Weins.  We did calendar and we practiced counting.  We started a visualization activity.  We listened to the first part of the the poem "5 Little Pumpkins".  We visualized what we heard and then we drew it.  We did the same for the second part.  We will do all five parts of the poem by the end of the week.  We did Student of the Day.  We learned that Kaylee   .  We drew a detailed picture of Kaylee and wrote her name properly.  We copied 3 sentences about Kaylee.  We will add this to our class book.  We did a Social Studies and Health activity.  We listened to a story called "What Makes Us Unique".  We talked about how we are all unique.  We talked about we all look different and that we are all good at different things.  In our journals we drew a picture of ourselves showing how we look different from others.  We wrote at least 3 sentences starting with "I can".  We will finish this work tomorrow.

Today we started with quiet reading and catch up time.  We did calendar and we practiced counting in different ways.  We learned about the letter K.  We talked about what sound it says and we listened to songs about K.  We brainstormed words that start with K.  We practiced printing the upper and lowercase letter on our whiteboard and in our printing book.  We drew and labelled words that begin with K.  In math we worked on making patterns.  We started talking about our sense of sight and about parts of the eye.
